8 hours VA DCJS career development in-service credit

This course is designed to enhance the investigative skills of law enforcement officers working crimes and cases involving (or potentially involving) extremist hate groups such as white supremacists.   

Through an examination of the history, structure, ideology, organization, and motivation of these intensely prejudiced and often violent groups, officers will understand why thwarting their activities within communities in Virginia is absolutely necessary to protect the minority and immigrant population.   

Specific investigative and intelligence gathering strategies will be discussed through multiple case study illustrations.  This course is designed and restricted for sworn law enforcement officers and is ideal for those working both investigations and patrol.
