VCPI has the privilege of working with the best public-safety trainers, educators and subject-matter experts in the nation. These talented people dedicate their entire careers to public service, sharing decades of experience and expertise with us in the classroom and beyond. VCPI Faculty impact the public-safety profession on a daily basis, working hand-in-hand with our staff to deliver services which are current and focused on the issues relevant to the communities we serve.
Collectively, our Faculty’s demonstrated commitment to excellence is extraordinarily impressive. Individually, and perhaps most importantly, their passion for improving future generations of public safety inspires everything we do.
In recognition of their time and talents, and so you can get to know them too, we'd like to spotlight each one here. We will periodically feature a different Faculty member, so please check back often!
Corinne Geller is the Public Relations Manager for the Virginia State Police. As a member of the Superintendent's Office, she oversees the statewide public/media relations program for the Department. She coordinates with the state police's seven sworn Public Information Officers assigned around the state and manages two Public Relations Coordinators at the administrative headquarters in Richmond. She conducts all media relations training for State Police personnel and serves as a media relations instructor for law enforcement and public safety officials throughout Virginia. She is also the primary speech writer for the Department's executive staff and is editor of the Department's quarterly newsletter. Corinne joined the state police in 1996 as the Richmond Division Public Information Officer. During her three years as a division PIO, she worked closely with police and sheriff's offices throughout the region on various investigations and traffic crashes. She also managed media relations for the state police Insurance Fraud Division. Corinne is a graduate of Ohio University's E.W. Scripps School of Journalism with a degree in journalism. She spent five years as a broadcast journalist for television stations in East Tennessee and Richmond Virginia, and earned two Associated Press awards for her work in both markets.

- To serve as resources for curriculum development and instructional projects;
- To provide guidance on emerging public-safety issues;
- To serve as instructors for our classes, and
- To provide additional subject matter expertise to VCPI pursuits.

VCPI hires independent contractors to teach our classes and to serve as subject matter experts and consultants on our projects. We are currently looking for people who are considered a subject matter expert in a particular specialty, have passion for a particular topic area, and have development and instructional expertise.
