VCPI is currently hiring for the position of Digital Design and Technology Specialist.

What VCPI needs:

VCPI is looking for a dynamic, creative, and talented individual to join our team as a Digital Design & Technology Specialist. This full-time, salaried team member will use technical knowledge and design expertise to produce in-house digital and technology-enhanced solutions for a variety of projects. The Digital Design & Technology Specialist will develop and maintain online courses (including graphics, resources, and materials), and provide technical support to external users. Additional responsibilities include collaborating regularly with VCPI team members, subject-matter experts, and vendors to assist with current and future technology solutions, such as the VCPI website, out-sourced IT services, digital marketing efforts, and more.

Are you the right candidate?

First, do you have the basic requirements?

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Willingness and ability to learn and utilize existing instructional design processes and templates
  • Ability to be both self-directed and work well as part of a team
  • Very strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in developing and administering asynchronous online training
  • Proven digital design and technology solutions experience supporting the following position responsibilities:
    • Create eLearning courses - using technology tools to transfer existing content to online eLearning courses (to include video production and editing). Candidate must have a basic understanding of Articulate Storyline and have a basic understanding of LMS relevant technical specifications, including a working knowledge of HTML5 mobile development and accessibility requirements
    • Support existing Database/Student Information Systems
    • Format and load eLearning courses, including pre- and post-tests, evaluations, and activities to LMS
    • Produce written and visual content for websites, course manuals, and other program deliverables
    • Assist the VCPI Team in marketing outreach, digital publications, and other IT in-house and outsourced functions
  • Video production, shooting & editing for project based videos (includes camera operation and audio components); Preferred candidates will have experience in Final Cut and/or Premier Pro
  • Graphic Arts design experience to include marketing materials, logos, icons, etc; Preferred candidates will have experience in Adobe’s suite of tools including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
